Volunteers are also needed to make sure the riders get the hydration they want, the rest they need and the inspiration to reach the finish line.
“A Salute to the Presidents” at PBU’s Annual Senior Adults Day Date: Thursday, May 22, 2008 Time: 9:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Location: Philadelphia Biblical University Address: 200 Manor Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047 Contact Information: 215-702-4307 Description of Event: Cost is $13.00 per person, $25.00 per couple or $10.00 per person in groups of 10 or more. Registration fees include morning refreshments and a hot lunch. Registration deadline is Friday, March 16. The keynote speaker is PBU’s President, Dr. Todd J. Williams, who will share his thoughts about U.S. presidents- their legacies, lessons that can be learned, and how they have impacted his thinking. The program also features an inspirational hymn sing, and a Yankee Post Roast dinner.
4th Annual Civil War Encampment (Mercer Museum) Date: Saturday, May 24 and Sunday, May 25, 2008 Time: 10:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. (Saturday); 1:00-5:00 p.m. (Sunday) Venue: Mercer Museum Address: 84 S. Visitors of all ages are invited to converse with the troops, participate in drills, try on reproduction equipment, learn about Civil War-era medical, cooking and engineering practices and listed to period music. The event is free with museum admission and will take place rain or shine.
