BUCKS BUSINESS CONNECT
Organizes the monthly Bucks Business Connect meetings to provide education, information and networking opportunities for members. The committee’s primary purpose is to select speakers for the program. They also help to recruit host locations and sponsors for the event. Bucks Business Connect Committee members have the opportunity to introduce the speakers and assist during the self introductions and announcements period.

BUSINESS CARD EXCHANGE
Organizes and schedules the monthly business card exchanges to encourage business networking. The committee strives to find hosts and sponsors for the monthly Business Card Exchange.

BUSINESS EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP
Advance Workforce Development through Business and Education partnerships. Through recruiting and securing scholarships for the hundreds of area students who participate in Pennsylvania’s Free Enterprise Week, offering Update Programs for the community on issues shared by business and education, and developing partnership activities through inception of SchoolWorks!, the committee has worked to further their mission of bringing business and education together. The latest program, Youth Leadership, strives to encourage youth from the Lower Bucks County are to become leaders.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Promotes economic development and vitality in Lower Bucks County. Each year, the committee plans the Economic Forum with speakers from the community speaking on Economic issues of interest. At this event, the committee presents the Economic Development Awards- which recognize those who have distinguished themselves as leaders in improving the business and economic environments in Lower Bucks County.

EXHIBITS
Plans the Business Expo. The committee does a great job in planning the annual Business Expo, one of LBCCC’s largest events. The Expo has been sold out for many years and continues to attract hundreds of members and guests.

FOOD SERVICE PROFESSIONALS (ROUNDTABLE)
A group of professionals who specialize in serving the food service industry whose goal is to provide a resource of information for all restaurateurs and realated businesses by highlighting the products and services available from members.

GOLF
Plans the Annual Golf Outing. The outing includes an 18-hole scramble event, team and individual prizes, lunch, dinner and auction. The event is annually the biggest fund raiser for the Chamber. Members promote the event, select the golf course, and play a practice round at the course.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
Examine, promote and monitor governmental activity affecting business, to encourage dialogue with all public officials, inform members and recommend action when necessary. Business people from the Chamber attend along with elected officials and/or their representatives. This committee also plans a trip to Harrisburg each year.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
Assists in marketing the Chamber and its activities and communicates the organization’s goals and philosophies. Educates people on how to market their own business. The committee markets the Chamber’s events, as well as partners with the local media to offer a series of Media Workshops to help Chamber members learn how to publicize their own events.

MEMBER BENEFITS
Investigates, recommends, implements quality, cost-effective benefits and programs that help meet the needs of Chamber members. The committee oversees the benefit programs including Group Health, Life and Disability Insurance, Credit Card Processing, Member-to-Member Discounts, Employee Assistance Program and Overnight Shipping Discounts. The committee also evaluates new benefit programs on a regular basis.

MEMBER RECRUITMENT & RETENTION
Develops programs to recruit new members and to retain existing members. The committee, responsible for the growth of the Chamber, conducts events to increase membership, such as Membership Drives, promoting the “Go For It” Campaign, and “Get Acquainted With Your Chamber.” The Ambassador Committee is a subcommittee and Ambassadors call new members to welcome them to the organization and invite them to a networking event. These volunteers are also on hand at Percolator Programs and Business Card Exchanges to answer visitor questions and assist new members to make the most of their networking experience.

SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCES
Offer activities which help meet the needs of small business. The committee plans two different events for the Chamber. Sharpen Your Edge is a one-hour, monthly, continuing education seminar (nine months a year) with Chamber members as speakers. Be Your Own Boss is a seminar series that provides insight for those who have started their own business or who are thinking of starting their own business.
